Thus, you should monitor these closely for signs of worsening conditions or adverse reactions when taken. Also another alternative treatment is mineralocorticoid replacement therapy.
It works by supplementing the loss of cortisol produced naturally by the adrenal gland through injections every 12 hours on average (the dosage may vary depending on the severity of the condition). Addison’s disease often requires long-term treatment.
So it is important that you are aware of all the possible side effects associated with this disorder and other medications included in your dog’s regimen to minimize any potential problems.
